Many Pieces One Purpose Pixelated Planet
In response to some racist graffiti sprayed in Chicago's booming West Loop neighborhood, we all live here was asked by the West Loop Community Organization to create a reminder for the community that this kind of messaging wasn't tolerated. We came up with a project to be a HUGE physical reminder of what we can achieve when we all work together. This 40 foot by 40 foot, 6400 6" x 6" tile pixelated planet was created by members of the community and local school groups. Bridgford Foods provided the wall. Lyft sponsored the lifts (see what I did there?) Daltile donated the tiles. Emporium Arcade Bar and Shapack Partners made contributions to cover other costs.
